What to expect after hydroseeding
Application starts the growing process. Here is what to watch from hydroseeding day until first mowing and use of the new lawn are reviewed. The instructions agreed for your own project remain the basis of care.
At first you see the application material
The appearance immediately after application is not a finished lawn. The material’s colour helps show the treated surface. Take an initial overview photograph and restrict foot traffic or other work on the surface according to the project instructions.
During germination, check how the surface is watered
Follow the agreed plan and watch for areas drying out or water pooling and carrying material away. Edges and exposed areas deserve attention. We do not prescribe the same watering duration for every garden: systems, soil and conditions differ.
The first shoots are one stage of development
Different seeds and parts of the site may develop at different times. First shoots do not mean the whole mixture is established or the surface can withstand use. Continue the agreed care and keep progress photographs.
Care changes as the lawn fills in
Watering and checks follow actual development and the guidance for the seed applied. Do not abruptly stop care because the area has turned green. If the watering contact changes, pass the instructions and observations to the next person.
Before first mowing or return to use
We review surface readiness and mowing guidance against development and the agreed use. One fixed date is not suitable for every project. Hotels or larger sites may need a separate review for each zone.
If something concerns you, send useful details
Send overview and close-up photographs, the location or zone, the application date, when the change appeared and how the area is watered. Mention dry patches, runoff, displaced material or declining growth. We review the cause before discussing reseeding or other work.
