What determines hydroseeding cost?

A useful quotation describes your job, beyond a rate per square metre. Here is what we need to price the right work.

Treatment area and ground condition

The treatment area is the ground to be seeded. Buildings, paving and planting that will remain are excluded. We identify preparation separately from application so you know what the price covers.

Access, mixture and care

Equipment access, site layout, mixture and watering affect how the work is organised. Your quotation identifies preparation, application, transport or mobilisation where needed, care and applicable VAT.

Compare hydroseeding and turf on the same scope

Compare the same area, preparation, transport, laying or application and care. Hydroseeding uses sprayed seeding; turf gives immediate green appearance. Both need preparation and watering. The time available also matters.

From first photographs to a written scope

We start with photographs and location, then confirm what needs checking on site. The quotation separates net treatment area, preparation, application, extra work, care, VAT and scheduling so you can compare the same scope and responsibilities.

How to make a useful comparison

Check whether both quotations cover the same net area and the same tasks. Ask who prepares the ground, what is applied, who supplies water and who cares for the new lawn. A lower application price alone does not describe the complete project cost.

How to start your quotation

  • Send photographs and the location
  • Include approximate area and preferred timing, if known
  • Tell us what is there now and whether watering is available
  • We clarify the work and whether a visit is needed before quoting
