Hydroseeding applications: green spaces, slopes and revegetation
From a new garden to a larger landscaped area, the application starts with the ground conditions and intended use. In Kos, Dig & Cut IKE combines site assessment with earthworks, preparation and hydroseeding within an agreed scope.
Gardens, hospitality properties and larger green spaces
Hydroseeding can be assessed for gardens, villas, hospitality properties, parks and larger green areas. Seed selection, preparation, watering and growing time are planned around the intended use. Sports facilities and golf courses require assessment against the particular specification of each surface.
Landscaped areas following earthworks
Following excavation, filling or grading, we assess whether the ground can support vegetation. Compaction, stones, limited topsoil and areas where water collects may need attention before seeding. The quotation separates preparation work from application.
Slopes: assess before application
We assess slope gradient and length, runoff, ground condition, access and water supply. Revegetation can form part of a surface-protection plan. Where stability assessment, drainage or additional erosion-control measures are required, these come first or are coordinated with application.
Erosion protection and establishment time
Suitable mulch materials can help provide temporary surface protection and retain seed and moisture. Vegetation takes time to establish. Protection depends on the product, application rate, slope and rainfall conditions; hydroseeding alone does not guarantee immediate soil stabilisation.
Practical benefits for your project
Machine application distributes the mixture evenly across suitably prepared surfaces. Seed choice is tailored to the project goal, while appropriate materials support vegetation establishment. It can be an economical option over larger areas, with overall cost depending on preparation, access, materials and care.
Specialist restoration applications
Broader uses of the method include road cuttings and embankments, selected areas of dam projects, quarry and mine rehabilitation, landfill covers and post-fire revegetation. These involve different engineering and environmental requirements. This list describes uses of the method, rather than completed Dig & Cut projects. Whether we can undertake a project depends on its design, specification, suitable materials and equipment requirements.
Seed and care for the specific objective
Restoring natural vegetation has different objectives from creating a lawn. Species selection follows local conditions and the project requirements. DIG & CUT Resilient Resort Blend is assessed for suitable lawn sites; it is not automatically recommended for environmental restoration. Watering, monitoring and any follow-up work are agreed before application.
What to send for an initial assessment
- Location, overview photographs and a close-up of the ground
- Estimated area and photographs of the slope and access
- Information on runoff, available water and previous works
- Design documents or technical specifications, if available
