DIG & CUT IKE · KOS

Seed selection and custom mixtures

The right lawn starts with the right mixture for your site. With Dig & Cut IKE hydroseeding, seed selection becomes part of a coordinated plan for your garden, villa or hotel in Kos — from preparation through to care after application.

OUR CUSTOM BLEND

DIG & CUT Resilient Resort Blend

For hotels, villas and private gardens in Kos where the appearance of the lawn needs to work alongside everyday use and planned care. We consider it for your project and confirm suitability against the actual site conditions.

Selected around your site

We assess sunlight, soil and available water before developing our recommendation.

Planned around your use

We connect your preferred appearance with how the garden will be used and the care you can provide.

A coordinated establishment plan

Mixture selection goes alongside the agreed preparation, hydroseeding and care guidance.

Why discuss it with us? We connect mixture selection with the full establishment plan, so you understand what is proposed, which work is needed and how to care for your new lawn.

How will you use the space?

Hotel with open, sunny areas

We discuss your preferred appearance, guest traffic, operating schedule and maintenance.

Garden with shade

We assess where shade falls and for how long. In heavily shaded spots, we first consider whether a lawn is suitable.

Coastal villa or accommodation

We assess wind and sea exposure alongside the source and quality of irrigation water.

Garden for children and pets

We discuss frequency of use and areas of wear. We agree when use can begin, according to establishment progress.

Five factors that guide selection

UseMainly appearance, relaxing or frequent play?Helps us discuss priorities and time before use.
MaintenanceWho will care for the site and how often?Aligns the plan with the care you can provide.

In detail: how we develop your recommendation

A custom approach for your project

The final recommendation is agreed before application, based on product suitability and availability. If an agronomist or designer has supplied a specification, we consider it from the outset.

Sunlight, shade and how the space is used

We also assess different zones within the same site: beside buildings, beneath trees or across open areas. One approach may not suit every part of a garden.

Soil affects preparation too

Seed selection goes alongside ground assessment. Compaction, unsuitable drainage or construction debris need to be addressed at the appropriate stage. A different mixture does not replace necessary preparation. Where needed, we discuss further soil assessment before finalising materials and ground work.

Water source and watering arrangements

Irrigation needs to cover the area to be seeded. If water comes from a borehole or salinity is suspected, we discuss whether analysis is needed before making the final selection.

Seed, mixtures and application materials

Seed determines what will grow. Protective material and the other application products are chosen for their role in the particular job. The seed composition is distinct from the complete hydroseeding recipe. The quotation and application plan clarify the choices and preparation required.

Season, appearance and maintenance

The proposal also depends on planting timing, the appearance you want and how the area will be maintained. We discuss expected seasonal appearance and time before use. Early green growth is not the only selection criterion; the ongoing care matters too.

Start with your site, not a seed name

Unsure of the exact area or soil condition? Mention it when you contact us. We will distinguish what can be assessed from photographs from what needs a visit or measurement.

Frequently asked questions

Can I request a particular seed?

Yes. Send your preference or specification. We will assess its fit with the site, application timing and available care.

Does the blend suit every site?

Suitability is confirmed for each project. The blend name does not replace assessment of the soil, light and water.

What about shade and coastal conditions?

We assess these individually. Tell us about shade, sea exposure and the water source so we can consider whether further checks are needed before the final recommendation.

Will watering and maintenance be needed?

Yes. Establishment requires reliable watering, followed by appropriate care. We discuss these needs before application and provide guidance for your project.

From the first photo to your project proposal

  1. Send photos and location

Start with an overview photo, a close-up of the ground and a map pin. Include the area if you know it.

  2. We assess your site needs

We discuss use, watering and application timing. Where needed, we arrange a visit or further checks.

  3. Receive a proposal and quotation

We explain the proposed solution, the work included and the care that will be needed.

You do not need to choose a seed before getting in touch. Start with the space you want to turn green.
